About

I live in Wellington, Florida, and my home is my creative sanctuary where I have lived for over a decade since relocating from Virginia. I find myself immersed in the captivating allure of Florida's natural beauty, which serves as a profound inspiration. My artistic journey began as a photographer and digital artist, but it eventually led me towards painting in oils, which I find to be a more expressive and powerful medium for capturing my experiences as an observer of nature's beauty. I paint mostly from memory but sometimes I utilize my own photographs as reference. While my artistic style leans predominantly towards realism, I enjoy painting in abstract as well, and enjoy creating digital images.

I strive to transport viewers into a world where they can vicariously experience the beauty and captivating energy of the natural world.

“The paintings created by Ayesha DeLorenzo were introduced to me as I juried an art show and her work stood out as simply magnificent in capturing the very challenging subject of sky and ocean.  Not only the balance but the colors, the blending and motion were far more beautiful than anything I have seen in photograph or reality.  I will never look upon God's creation without thinking of Ayesha.  This gifted artist is a treasure to humanity.  Hopefully many will be fortunate enough to become acquainted with this amazing talent in the art world.”

“If I remember correctly I first saw Ayesha's work in 2020. She sent me some images of paintings she made 3 months after she started painting. I immediately knew we were dealing with a natural talent here. Not many people can handle a brush so confidently after such a short time. In the years that followed, Ayesha regularly sent me images of her latest work, and I tried to give her some clues. I saw how she grew into the painter she is today, with a great sense of color and light. I am glad that I was able to make a modest contribution to this.”

“Ayesha DeLorenzo is an artist with immense skill and talent. Her ability to capture light and to share that empirical experience is remarkable for one who is new to painting. The sea/cloudscapes she paints are large and overflowing with the beauty and power of the natural world. Her work is thoughtful, embodies her skillfulness and the spiritual.”
